Blastocystis hominis (Blasto)
What the heck is it, and how do you
get rid of it?
From: Paul Johnson
April 2010
When Blastocystis Hominis attacked my
body and took up residence in my digestive tract, it was no fun,
and I didn't know what to do to get rid of this horrible parasite.
I
was sick (literally)-I was feeling ill with no energy and a very poor quality of life!
I remember the day that I think I caught it. It was my
fault, it was a hot day, I was in a hurry and in an unfamiliar part of a western foreign country attending a
conference. I ate a chicken dish for lunch from a vendor that you would normally totally avoid. As soon as I ate it
I regretted it, it just didn’t sit right.
By the end of the afternoon I had to
leave the conference I was attending and go back to my hotel room. By the evening I was quite ill. I couldn’t
sleep that night. I did however sleep almost all of the next day, and half of the day after that. But I did
seem to perk up a bit. After a couple of days I was almost back to my old
self.
However from that point forward my digestion was never quite the
same.
I would go for a couple of weeks and say “breads and cereals don’t
agree with me” so I would stop them. Or I would stop eating red meat, or fruit. Or I would restrict my carb
intake. Or I would start a nutritional supplement. It was all the same. Nothing worked long term. It followed the same pattern.
I thought that it was a reaction to the food that I was eating, did I
have Celiac disease or maybe I was Gluten intolerant? Of course the answer is no, it was the Blastocystis
Hominis parasite making life hard.
I was trying to find out the foods that were irritating me, I was
eliminating those which would give me a temporary relief then all foods became a problem.
I removed all the dairy products from my diet first, and phew!
- the relief - my symptoms disappeared, then back they came and this time worse than ever. I then
experimented with eliminating all wheat products from my diet and guess what, instant relief again. However
after a week or so, back came the problems again.
I was spending a fortune at the doctors and getting nowhere. I just
couldn't seem to get these doctors to understand that my quality of life was, in a word, rubbish. These
symptoms I had were controlling my life.
I had to plan any trip outside my house around where the nearest
public toilet was located. You see even a basic thing like doing the families shopping was a major stress as
I would always run the risk of getting caught short. Anyone of you reading this that has suffered such a
problem knows full well how completely embarrassing and degrading this is.
Loose irregular bowels mixed with bouts of constipation, getting
caught short, leakage, bent over double with pain, gas and nausea's feelings were just part of my daily life
and I still had to hold down a job. Blastocystis Hominis didn't care about all these
things.
I don't want to go on and on here but it is a very difficult thing for
anybody who has not suffered with Blastocystis Hominis to actually get their head around how awkward it
is to try and function normally and still be part of the community.
If all my digestive issues were not bad enough I began to lose
interest in foods, I was:
not enjoying my food
anymore
getting headaches so much it seemed part of my
life
getting unusual and embarrassing
skin problems - everywhere
thinking that heartburn was part of
my life
having acid reflux after everything
I ate
producing discoloured and foul
smelling stools
getting more and more miserable and
depressed.
I left getting miserable and
depressed as my last statement because it was much worse than that. I had a feeling of doom and
gloom and impending death hanging over me. This was the hardest part and the most difficult feeling
to get on top of. All the rest of my symptoms were physical ailments but this was a head thing and it was the
scariest.
This is how having Blastocystis Hominis makes you
feel....
So that's my story, and I wish I could tell you that I have successfully gotten rid of this
Blastocystis Hominis thing, that I am now cured and living somewhere in the
Bahamas.
Unfortunately no, I can't say that I am on utterly and completely on top of it all yet but I have made
significant progress whereby now I don't have to plan my outings for the fear of having an accident. It’s taken me
a little over three months to get my health back on track and get my energy levels back to something like they were
2 or so years ago.
It’s been a difficult journey and part of my learning
was to have the confidence to sack my doctor. I finally found one that actually listened to me and was caring
enough to at least try and make my life better. The one piece of advice that I can give you and I hope you listen
to is that if you present your symptoms to a doctor and you are getting nowhere, find another doctor.
You don't have to put up with
this.
There is a little available info on this particular Blastocystis
Hominis Parasite but I have made up a report that tells you like it is.
I've called it "Blastocystis Hominis - A Resource
Guide"
What this report isn't is a "get well quick"
kind of rubbish that some person has just thrown together. This report more deals with educating you on what
exactly the Blastocystis Hominis parasite is and although it is clinical in places, it will leave you with a far
better understanding of exactly what is going on and you will also find information that will start you
thinking about your condition in a different way.
And what do buyers of the Resource Guide say? Please find following a
testimonial from Mary Jo Townzen...

Paul Johnson's book "Blastocystis Hominis, A
Resource Guide" is packed with current, up-to-date information about Blastocystis. As a mother
of a nine-year-old daughter who contracted this parasitic infection in September of 2007, it
is refreshing to finally have found a comprehensive resource with answers to our
questions.
I have forwarded Paul Johnson's book to my daughter's physician for reference and am looking
forward with new hope to moving towards a resolution of my daughter's illness. After 2 1/2 years of
doctor's visits with "specialists" at three different prominent medical health facilities in
Silicon Valley, California, I finally understand with what we are dealing. I will be discussing the
pharmacological treatments, as well as alternative therapies with Samantha's physician.
This book is being used as a guide in my daughter's medical care. If you or someone you know has
Blastocystis, Paul Johnson's book is a must have. Without it, we'd still be blindly following
protocols that have not worked.
Thanks, Paul!

And another one from Sylvie Hamaida in

"Your ebook is a factual and comprehensive guide to Blastocystis Hominis that offers to
shed some light on a very unpleasant and debilitating illness that my GP has been unable to assist me
with."
"Your guide has been able to offer confirmation on a list of symptoms that have been misdiagnosed
by my GP for the past 3.5 years. I no longer feel that I need to suffer in silence or that I'm too
sensitive or need to toughen up when deep down I know that I am unwell and that what I really need
is to heal from this infection. Before this illness I was positive and upbeat and very energetic.
This infection has crept up on me very slowly and discreetly, making me feel that life was becoming
too unbearable and that every disappointment was my fault, not realising that this was Blastocystis
Hominis causing this sensation."
"Paul thank you for your insight and for offering inspiration and hope. I've been battling with
this on my own for 3.5 years and it has been a great relief to find you. Being able to confirm that
this isn't all in my head and having someone to talk to about this was what I needed as I was
beginning to lose hope. I am now progressing with treatment and looking forward to rebuilding my
life."

Although it doesn't offer any medical advice, the report does offer
you information and resources that will lead you to a few experts that do know what they are talking about
and will help you get back on the right track to having you feel like your old self again. There is even a
challenge from Dr Mark Wiley in regard to taking control once again of your health and well being. He doesn't
mince his words but it was just the exact words he used and the way he delivered them that made all the
difference to me.
Here's the table of contents so you can see what you
get:

The cost of this downloadable report is under $20, well under $20, in
fact it is $16.95, less than a coupla cups of coffee and a large pizza (which
ironically were two things that made me feel worse!) In it you will find what is working for me and the
people and resources I have used. If I can ask you to learn about this, educate yourself, start to understand
what it is that is going on inside your body, get to grips with it and begin to eradicate this Blastocystis
Hominis invader that you have inside you.
You need this report because your life was not meant to be
like this.
